I simply hold him and rock him until he falls asleep.
My son loves any type of “beat”. Whether I am singing, humming, or tapping…he will fall asleep while I am holding him. Such a sweet little man!
I actually pop in a lullaby CD or hum to him, rock him in my arms. If that doesn’t work, then I resort to the pacifier or give him a little bit of milk to sooth him. So yeah, a new lullaby CD will help tremendously. ;) Thanks for having this giveaway!
I sing the “Colors of the Wind” song from Pocahontas. As soon as my son hears it he crawls over and flops his head right down on the pillow, like a good little boy:) He also likes it when I rub his back or belly, run my fingers through his hair, and pat his butt for seemingly interminable lengths of time.
Wrap baby up snug in a blanket, cuddle, and then lie her down with her lovey and some soft music. Love the “in the womb” kind. Very soothing.
Great prize.
he likes a little music and or cartoons calms him down
I settle down into the la-z-boy with them and rock them tell the z’s come… hope I win!
rocking works
I hum. thanks for the contest
plug him into his swing – that dos it every time
I rock him to sleep while humming
I have always sang softly to my little ones while I hold them in my arms.
great
I softly bounce him as I walk through house with him. Quietly making shshshsh sound as he stares and I stare lovingly back at him.
My new Granddaughter could use a CD like this.
count me in
I put him in his crib with the radio plays. He loves music.
I just give him his pacifier and he falls asleep by himself. After is his asleep, I pull the pacifier out of his mouth.
We go for a car ride! I take my beautiful baby and her favorite “blanky” and we go cruise the neighborhood while I sing to her!
I have a werid way to calm my baby she love\’s noise but not just any noise she has to have loud rock music when she fall\’s asleep i turn the radio off she wakes up instantly. I wonder if this cd would work for her?
Riding in the car with the national radio show “Delilah” playing always works. She plays the most soothing music and my son loves her voice!
My little guy LOVES Andrea Boccelli! When naptime rolled around we’d swaddle him up, relax in the rocking chair and put on Andrea. This cd would be wonderful – and something different ;)
I have 4 kids, so I have learned that each child is different. One thing that has worked with all four kids is putting them in their car seat, all snug and warm with blankey, and put them in the laundry room with me on the floor (NOT on top of the washing machine). I guess all the “white” noise and vibration from the washing machine puts them to sleep. Even my youngest son who had colic SUPER bad, would fall asleep every time. Very soothing to a baby!
Before bed we read our daughter a couple books, brush her teeth and gums, and lay her down. After we close the door, I stay close by and sing “You are my sunshine” a couple times, until she quiets herself down.
I use the clothes dryer. I secure the baby in an infant seat or car seat. Place in on the dryer and turn it on.
I’m a cheater; I still nurse my two-year-old daughter to sleep. This is the snuggliest, most comforting way to easer her into dreams. While I nurse her, I talk about all the things Jehovah God and Jesus made for us, including “baba’s”, trees, butterflies…. Sometimes, instead of asking for baba before bed, my girl starts talking about nature and then I know she’s tired.
i turn pink floyd on and give her a bath then switch to bob marley and rock her to sleep to that it always works
After bath time my husband rocks our 4 month old son while I give our 20 month old daughter a bath. He then rocks our daughter while I feed our son his bottle. I then lay my son down in bed and he holds my hand and I hum or sing quietly and he sucks his pacifier until he falls asleep. I then give our daughter a big hug and lay her down to bed.
with rocking and a soft lullaby
I give her a warm bath and a body massage.
WIN WIN WIN!!!
I have tried EVERYTHING to soothe my beautiful colicky, acid “refluxy” daughter and nothing has seemed to work. She is on her 5th formula and her 3rd med……………..maybe this is the medicine she needs. Thanks for hearing my story.
Thank you all for participating. The winner of the Lullaby CD goes to Stephen Saunders.
